Use with Google Meet

Learn how to apply real-time face swapping in Google Meet, making virtual meetings more engaging.

Requirements

  • Google account
  • OBS Virtual Camera installed
  • Faceblend active session

Steps

1

Start a Faceblend session

Open Faceblend Backstage, select your avatar, and click Go Live. Copy the sharing link from the Video Control Panel.

2

Set up OBS Virtual Camera

Add Faceblend as a Browser Source in OBS and click Start Virtual Camera. This exposes your Faceblend feed as a system camera device.

3

Open Google Meet in Chrome

Google Meet works best in Chrome. Open meet.google.com and start or join a meeting.

Tip: Make sure OBS is running before opening Google Meet so Chrome detects the virtual camera.
4

Switch camera to OBS Virtual Camera

In the meeting, click the three-dot menu → Settings → Video. Select OBS Virtual Camera from the camera list. Your face-swapped video will immediately appear.

5

Present with your avatar

Your Faceblend avatar is now active in the meeting. Switch avatars in the Faceblend dashboard at any time — changes appear in real time for all participants.
